Writing

I love to write. I love to write anything. I write all the time. I don't sell much, but I have sold a few things. I love to write everywhere, on the computer, on church handouts, in journals, in books, on napkins, scratch paper. I just love to write. What a blessing it is that God gave me this love and this talent. I am working on a new project that has been simmering away for a long time.

Screenplay not so much...

So I started writing a screenplay and a few days into the project, I realized that it wasn't what I wanted to do. I want to write stories, not movies...so I am not going to be completing the contest. S'okay though. I now have a fun new idea for a story!

Procrastination

I am a master at procrastination...dishes, books, crafts, shopping, even tv. I wonder sometimes why it seems so hard to get my writing done. Seesh, it has been more than a year since I published anything! For that matter, even since I sent anything in...I don't get it.

Script Frenzy

I am toying with the idea of writing a movie script, or a tv show. I haven't yet decided but being the 23rd and the contest begins April 1st, I have to decide in the next few days. I'm not much of a tv fan, or movie fan, but still it could be really fun, and hey, any writing is od,m but at good writing right? Well maybe not good as in excellent, but good as in good practice.

Gotta decide. And also what to write about. It will be interesting writing a script and also learning how at the same time. It could be really exciting...and I can STOP editing my nanowrimo book! But then I will have another work to edit...Ugh, editing never ends.

Editing

I often wonder about the editing process. Sometimes it is like correcting a misguided child. Other times like finding a new friend and learning all about them. Either way it is about love, love of the story, love of the characters and love of whatever the story will become. Not that you can really do much to guide where the story goes. It tells itself. The characters become people. They live and love and they often do stupid or heroic things.
